Welcome to my page!
Dipson Theatres, President Michael Clement is helping to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We have always given back to our community and we are constantly amazed with the support of our patrons in regard to our fundraising efforts. Last year we donated just under $15,000 to the MDA and we will strive to pass that number next year. At this time we are asking for your support again. Please consider making a donation to this great cause. Bernard Clement former President of Dipson Theatres passed away 12 years ago from Leukemia. He was a huge influence in everything we do and this terrible disease took his life to soon. If you would like to donate please click on the link below. We also have raffle tickets available at the following theatre locations. The Amherst Theatre, The Eastern Hills Mall Cinema, Flix Stadium 10, The McKinley Mall Cinema, The Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre.
Thank you for visiting my donation page for “The Dude Hates Cancer!” charity bowling tournament. My teammates and I will be taking to the lanes and bowling for top honors at the bowling tournament on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Transit Lanes, but we’re also competing with the other registered teams to see who can raise the most money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
Anything you can give to help us win this important competition would be greatly appreciated.
The LLS funds life-saving cancer research that has led to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers (and many other cancers), including treatments such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants that have prolonged and enhanced the lives of patients. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue have already begun to provide drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.
But more research is critically needed:
- Every four minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every ten minutes, someone dies.
- Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children, adolescents and young adults under the age of 20.
- Leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma will cause the deaths of an estimated 53,010 people in the United States in 2011.
- The survival rate for myeloma is just 41.1 percent
Please make a donation to support my TDHC team and help save lives. Be sure to check back frequently to see our progress and, again, thanks for your support.
